This is YABS for 1 vCore VPS
The coupon code LET330 is invalid.
Fixed
This is interesting.. never seen a vps that has full gigabit bw but only 1 core and 1gb of ram. This would be good for a vpn.
I see a lot of providers on here do this, but unfortunately you caught my eye mostly here.
£4/month for 330TB? So you’re saying if I pay you £4 I can use 1Gbps 95th %ile with no restrictions?
As in the transit I’d go to Cogent for and pay £200+/month for you’re giving me for £4?
If so great. I’d like to open a discussion about us routing all of our traffic through your network. That will turn my £X,XXX/month transit bill into a £XX one.
If not and what you’re actually doing here is using “330TB” as an attention grab please specify the fair usage policy and extent I’m actually allowed to use that bandwidth.
** Each VPS is assigned a full 330TB bandwidth**
I listed this offer a while ago too, people bought and never had an issue.
Just thinking what has trigged a reply this time around.
Buy A vps and use 330TB at the 1Gb/s and as long as it is all legal under UK law thats fine.
You never had an issue because the people buying it wouldn’t use 330TB
My problem is IF somebody purchased and used the full 330TB you’d be in trouble. I think the marketing is misleading.
I saw it and it annoyed me.
Are you sure you want to commit to this right now?
So if I buy 10 VPS for £40/month and use the full 3300TB (10Gbps 95th) you’re not going to terminate any of my vms? Even though you’d be loosing hundreds if not thousands of pounds in transit costs?
You're right, it's impossible at this price.
But all hosting providers have this kind of practice at different levels. A good customer at a low-cost host is one who doesn't consume all the allocated resources.
Pushed that far, it's not reassuring, and I generally stay away from these providers, but they're not the first and not the last to offer a service that's only profitable if users don't use it much.
Just a marketing ploy.
Yeah I get a bunch of providers are guilty of it. That was the first thing I mentioned. Unfortunately xHost was just in the crosshair while I was reading through and getting my daily dose of LET.
There should really be a push from admins to update the advertisement rules. Cause this is just straight up false advertisement.
It's true that it would be a good idea.
In this case, it's clearly not profitable. In other cases, it's harder to determine and prove that it's not.
So I think it's hard to write a clear rule about this kind of marketing.
A user who uses 330TB of traffic will quickly be banned. So I think it's fair to call it false advertising.
It's never difficult to prove that it is not the case, everyone knows IP Transit costs are well above £10 per Gbps 95th-percentile, not even taking power and datacenter footprint costs into consideration. Dedicated / allocated bandwidth offerings are usually always bullshit, unless they are somehow making up the deficit of the people who are actually utilizing the full gigabit per second on something other than hosting. And at this scale, it's just not feasible.
Yes, in the case of traffic, it's feasible.
I was talking about other types of offers I've seen that offer huge amounts of resources for ridiculous prices.
And I'm still trying to figure out how it can be profitable.
In short, if there's a rule, it has to be fair for everyone and not just for transit.

They don't always run 330T promotions, and as far as the past is concerned, it's not a regular occurrence.
I acquired one prior to that and I believe I pushed about 80TB each of those two months.
In the case of the 330T, perhaps this is some sort of marketing ploy, but for my type of usage it remains unrestricted at this time.
Maybe I'm lucky, but so far they haven't restricted me for any unfair usage.
I will repeat that personally, I don't think a few quid (I was paying £10 a month) really buys a full 1G port. Perhaps committing to a more reasonable, even if it includes a marketing component, dosage would seem more sensible to those looking to place an order.

So looping a speedtest script 24/7 shouldn't be an issue?
Getting the same. Is this coupon code valid for Ryzen 4G package? @xHosts

Any plan to restock £15 refugee offer?
I am waiting to hear back from my server provider sales team, I hope to hear back first thing tomorrow on what is available, the rates and I can then review the sustainable options of adding more of these.
