Switzerland VPS (high traffic)

Hi. I‘m searching for a new Switzerland VPS provider. At least 20TB traffic per month, at least 1 Gbit/s, 2-4 vCores, <50$. Any recommendations? Thanks

It's $70 / month in Switzerland with HostHatch, but in Austria there's this:

    Aeza — €8.70 / month
    2 Ryzen Cores (shared)
    4096 MB RAM
    60 GB NVMe
    51200 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
    Austria location

    Pony aff link.

  • @davide Nice deal thanks, but needs to be Switzerland (Zurich to be exactly). I‘m trying to register with HostHatch but only get a blank page?

  • Try Infomaniak, but Swiss providers are quite expensive

  • @Carlin0 I‘m using Infomaniak right now, price/specs/YABS all are phenomenal, but compared to Oracle Free Tier I was using before (and also all my other VPS) something‘s off and I can‘t fix it. Must be network routing I guess.

    Can meet your budget with:

    • 2 cores
    • 8 GB RAM
    • 100 GB NVMe
    • 20 TB Bandwidth, 1 Gbit Port

Also have Storage VMs with 5TB Disk + (SAN) at similar rates

    I’ll DM you shortly.

    what exactly is off?

  • @fluffernutter I‘m running the same OpenVPN installation/configuration on all of my servers (around 60). Fully optimized over months, MTU values, using DCO etc. Home internet speed is 320 mbit/s. On most of my servers (even the farthest ones) I get around 310 mbit/s using UDP and around 290 mbit/s using TCP. Just on this Infomaniak servers UDP stays around 150-180, while TCP is also around 290. Despite being 10 gbit/s servers. Also compared network stack values etc. but I can‘t find any differences.

That just seems like a routing issue from your end, but Infomaniak does optimize for domestic connections. swiss connectivity isn't really too fantastic in general though

  • I can recommend this company: https://en.datasource.ch

  • Went with @jayjay (MLNL.host), all fine with this server! Thanks

    Thanked by 1jayjay
