It will take some time for the sub-nets to propagate over BGP from the new ISP.

    EDIT:

89.213.174.0/24 starts to show up correctly, but it will take a while.

Battle of the basements is over

That's some high quality transit with a very good amount of IX's, direct peering with Hetzner, 30ms from Amsterdam.

Seeing GTT, NTT, Arelion, Lumen / Level3 / Colt, just good stuff all around

Way to go @Calin - you've won battle of the basements! And moved to a DC with very nice transit and peering.

Looks good. Can I ask if hardware were moving is new old old? If its old hardware then I think its better to buy new server as upgrade and migrate vps so people dont have 24 hour downtime

Hello , server down from Monday , not for now , if it's down please open a ticket on website

We don't have any maintenance now and all nodes work correctly https://uptime.ihostart.com

    Regards

Also my server is back online, so either it was because of the move, or it was all just a weird coincidence.

Very cool, I hope the new datacenter/upstreams will hold strong on ignoring DMCA 🙂

    Hurra!

So in one day you made the journey to the DC 🚚, racked up 1000 kg of hardware 💪, took the return trip without falling for the lady of the hostel ♂, and came back to reclaim the throne from the usurper ?

You have a story to tell!

You have a story to tell!

The throne was always with Calin from this point of view.
Right from the opening, I didn't have the infrastructure in my own location to be able to run my servers at home and I succeeded 3 years later, while Calin dreamed of covering his expenses to reach DC.
In one way or another, everyone achieved their dream.
    Good luck to him!

  • Both of my servers have been migrated without issue. Outbound connectivity is restored on my instances and the network upload/download speeds seem more balanced now.

    Thanks @Calin 👍

Congrats on the move! This is a monumental step since the days of the infamous wooden racks, and great that you took all that gentle teasing in your stride and turned it towards the pursuit of a bigger and better dream, and even more importantly saw it through to the end. Great job!
