    @CoolGeek

We apologize for the delay, as many of our staff members are currently focused on our annual maintenance.

Each client has unique needs, so we can't provide a one-size-fits-all answer. However, based on your usage, it seems you may benefit more from a dedicated server rather than a VPS. You are welcome to try our VPS, but please note that sustained 100% CPU usage 24/7, even with a dedicated core, is generally not advisable in a shared node environment. Although you are allocated dedicated resources, you still share the same physical server with others.

If your usage exceeds that of our average clients, our team will reach out to discuss an upgrade to a dedicated server to ensure you have the necessary resources.

So if we use a dedicated cores 24/7, not the shared just the dedicated we might be reached out to?

@Kevinf100 you've been with us for many months now. Have we ever reached out to you about your usage?

Typically, we are very careful when addressing these kinds of questions. For most clients, even those with high usage, it's not a concern as long as we deliver the advertised specifications, which we always do.

However, if your buying the service with intent is to abuse it, this becomes a concern. And to be honest we prefer to pass on these clients who misuse our services.

@Kevinf100 Wish you the best of luck with them, but it seems misleading to me to call it "dedicated." This is the equivalent to having roommates, but in your "dedicated" bedroom, you're not allowed to be there too much. We can't tell you HOW much is too much, but if you are using your dedicated bedroom too much, we'll reach out to you to discuss your house upgrade options.

I certainly won't be investing any more energy in this opaque offer. I have other providers with dedicated CPUs that are actually dedicated. The whole hybrid dedicated/shared seems like a marketing gimmick for those who don't look into it further.

Yeah, I was also wondering how would it work? Out of four cores two are shared and two dedicated. How should I know which ones are dedicated. And should I pin my cpu heavy workloads only to two cores?

but please note that sustained 100% CPU usage 24/7, even with a dedicated core, is generally not advisable in a shared node environment

So, maybe just don't use word dedicated in your offer, as it's not really dedicated...

So far they are no problem and had better experience with them than database Mart and Contabo. Random down times and support giving wrong answers for down times with database Mart. Contabo in pretty sure oversells and has days long support reply.

So far with solid I had support answer answer within a minute of a ticket and haven't noticed any CPU steal, but I hope the support guy here is misunderstanding/wrong about if we use the dedicated core too much we get "talked to". Also support couldn't tell me what cores are dedicated. My guess is 0-3.

@CoolGeek Nice example but we dont sell bedrooms anyway we wish you to find a suitable provider to allow you to run that 100% and we have many here using these offers anyway, if we dont deliver what is advertised you would have heard it longtime ago aside our YABS and benchmark is enough to show and prove that we do deliver what is advertised not just hoax bedroom talks

@Kevinf100 if your plan has 2 dedicated cores 2 shared, the first 2 cores are always dedicated and so on, we hope this answers your question

@yoyek are you even our client? how would you bash a service without trying it? make zero sense

I completely agree. I've been with Solid for over six months now, and I've experienced 100% uptime with no issues on 5 VPS and two dedicated servers with them, and everything runs smoothly. The original poster mentioned running at 100% cpu, and they simply suggested a dedicated server for what you need. Unfortunately, some people misinterpreted this advice. Just too many haters out there i guess :hushed:

Hi, we don't anticipate expanding to Frankfurt in the near future as our current focus is on adding more locations in the US for the time being. We're excited to announce that our upcoming offer will introduce two new locations for EPYC cloud VPS for total of 9 locations so far

No, I'm not, was considering your offer.
I'm not bashing you, just taking part in the discussion, based on the comments in this thread. Isn't it what forums are for?

    Hi!

Question regarding your VPS offers here, i never rented from a SEO provider, is it allowed to host say, dedicated gaming servers with root rights on your VPS?

That's what I'm doing with mine. Vrising and MC. no lag and never was contacted from support. I did look in the TOS and FaQ. Never saw anything against it.
