How do you know it's a great solid solution if you can't register? Surely that would indicate you haven't used their services?

Hetzner is an old stable service with real 1Gbps port on its BOXes, Unlimited traffic and >99% uptime and its really costs this $3,5. This is my experience.
Here, we are on LowEnd forum with many small providers who sometimes cant give you 99% uptime, even 300mbps speed port, has small bandwith limits, and sometimes can dissapear one day. Should such services cost more? Dont think so.
So, Yes, I think, I can find something for 2$/month here, 1$ is for annual payments is ok too. All providers wanted you to pay for a year and no one want to refund you if their service is bad.
Dont know why you are trying to discuss hetzner/prices/experience? I just ask if someone can help with real deals.
I see @labze here with a 25$/1TB for a year (2$/m). Maybe something else...
I doubt you can get anything this low in Europe with the current electricity prices.
Yes, the only storage VPS with the price like this is on the other side of the ocean.
I'm using one this way myself for more than 1.5 years - works great both for website and personal backups.

I think storage box bandwidth is higher than 1Gbps, when mounted on their vps I often get over 300MB/s speed.
What services at Hetzner did you mention?

iHostART client portal asks for name, phone number, and street address, but you can enter anything you want for those. That's at least what @Calin told me; I followed his instructions and no problems so far.
