2+ Gbps for 40€ in EU
Hi,
Here's the kind of dedicated server I can find on Hetzner for ~ 40€ :
- 6-core CPU ;
- 64 GB of RAM ;
- 2 TB of NVMe SSD ;
- Unmetered 1 Gbps bandwith.
But here's what I can't find there or anywhere else at this price range :
- 4-core CPU ;
- 16 GB of RAM ;
- 1 TB of NVMe SSD ;
- 5 TB of 2 Gbps bandwith.
Does that exist ?
It seems power is extremely cheap but bandwith is crazy expensive, to a point that even decreasing one doesn't allow increasing the other.

If you are ok with a cloud instance, I can do those specs with 2Gbps for 39 €/mo ex. VAT.
Hi,
you have to know that even hetzner ( or any other ) gives u a 1G flat line for 40 EUR, they expect you to be a normal user and use less than 20 Mbit of it in reality in avarage.
Thats why the price is 40 EUR, and not 40 EUR for the hardware + 50 EUR for the 1G flat.
Now if you want higher port speeds, it will look like you really want to use that. And so more realistic prices come into play, considering that you might really use it.
Giving 5 TB with 2 Gbit/s is of course something like a joke as this 5 TB will be gone in 7h.
Which means that actually there is no 2 Gbit/s for 40 EUR available, as you can not use it with this few traffic.
In general we offer that with virtual servers but having a fair-use policy inside, that your portspeed will be reduced if you do more than 250 Mbit/s in average per week.
A real real N Gbit/s line without any fair use or what ever is just simply expensive.
What is the name of the first configuration?
Sorry I meant 40€ including VAT, which if you could do, then I wouldn't mind cloud as long as it's either dedicated or non-oversold.
Yes, but I don't use the bandwith continuously, rather punctually.
