Warning to Newcomers - My Nightmare Experience with IKIHost (Cheap KVM Provider)
I feel it's important to share my experience as a reseller who was lured into using @IKIHOST for cheap KVM/VPS services. While their $5 prices for 2 Core 4GB Epyc servers seemed attractive initially, it quickly turned into a nightmare that completely ruined my reselling business.
The issues started with regular downtimes, certain IP ranges getting blocked, and VPS suspensions happening without notice - even though I always paid them on time. On multiple occasions, they failed to properly renew my VPS services or extend the expiry dates because of misconfigurations on their end, leading to RDP disconnections and data loss for my customers. Their solution? Offer a free month, which was no help when client data was already gone.
The worst part - they shut down recently without any email campaign or notice to backup data from servers. I lost everything and my clients were left high and dry.
In the reseller world, I learned the hard lesson that cheap pricing is often too good to be true. The headaches from IKIHost's failings heavily outweighed any cost savings. My business took a massive hit that will take time to recover from.
My advice to all newcomers on LowEndTalk - do NOT fall for cheap KVM offers that seem unrealistic. Prioritize reliability, support and reputation over rock-bottom prices. Either go with an established, trustworthy provider or invest in your own server hardware. Cutting too many corners will burn you in the long run.
I'm sharing my experience so others can avoid making the same costly mistake I made by trusting IKIHost. The bitter lessons learned will hopefully prevent others from suffering similar nightmares with shady providers. There's no shortcut to quality service in this industry.
I am thinking to invest in owning my server with hypervisor installed and everything properly setuped, but i dont know how to reach a pricing of 5-6$ per kvm with what hardware. i am asking for experienced person guides here as well. location is USA.

General rule of thumb do your due diligence when dealing online.
It's better to go with providers who have been in business for X number of years and have some reputation.
In case you find a nice deal from a new provider and want to go with it look for monthly payment options.

Most of the times, they dont have lucrative offers, and mostly dont support reselling as well and are out of stock always.

We got defrauded as well by IKIhost. Took a hit for hundreds of dollars.
In this day and age of hyperscalers, I doubt if it is even worth doing vps hosting reselling business. Most stable VPS hosting providers are making their money and razor-thin margins by selling other full-priced items.
Therefore, a small-scale business trying to stay afloat just by selling VPS on and to LET audience sounds non-promising. Sorry for being direct and realistic.
