[Urgent Help Required] Unable to add user to database in mariadb

samratfktsamratfkt Member

Hello,
I run a shared hosting company and use a dedicated server from tier.net. Recently, one of my disks got corrupted (the same day the Texas cyclone disaster happened). Then I reached out to tier support, and they fixed the disk, but then the database got corrupted, and then tier fixed the issue also.

but now my users can't add users into the database from their cpanel, and when they try to install WordPress, it also does not work.

I have restored some backups, but when I restore them, they show "Error establishing database connection".

I think there is an issue with the database, and it is not working properly. Is there any idea how I can fix the issue?

I have almost 2000+ websites hosted on this server. tier is taking so much time to reply and delayed 3 days.

I need help!

Nobody can help you with the information you provided.
You need to start looking into logs, start with /var/log/mysqld.log or similar. Share last few lines.

Also check if the mysql service is up.
Might be worthy to contract services with a cPanel certified administrator to check on this issue since it can be multiple things happening at once.

Reach out to cPanel support and if they're still offering paid escalations, pay it.

This might be a cPanel issue. If you pay that hefty license, maybe they can offer you support at least.
