    Ah, that makes sense, but IMHO "barred" != "disabled by request" (BTW, I thought account's weren't deletable?)

    Ah, that makes sense, but IMHO "barred" != "disabled by request" (BTW, I thought account's weren't deletable?)

    Most of the time, we bar an account because it's an alt of another (with no request from a user)

    But a user can also request that their account be barred. A typical case of this is when a user wants to leave the forum and doesn't want to risk that their account is compromised later

    (Indeed, we don't delete accounts)

    But isn't there a password reset function?

    There is, but of course, the user's email address needs to be working and accessible for this to work as intended
