A fix has been applied for the IO problems on the RAID6 Addon drives.
Not all NODES had this problem, affected Customers were notified via e-mail,
The issue has also been posted on our website in the Network Issues section.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
IO should get back to normal in the upcoming ours.
this is a TEST run on a patched node:
Before Patch Values:
PS:
Downtime of the affected NODES will be 5 to 15 minutes.
I'm just wondering, how exactly does the meth work out? Selling 4TB for 16.50$/month and 5TB for 45/year doesn't seem to make sense. I'd bet you've did all the good cooking, but still.
Also, I'll totally miss the restock, lmao.
The 4TB offers we have on website have 2 specs that the 5TB Promo custom do not.
4TB Offer on website:
Internet @ 2 GBPS / Best Effort / up to
Unmetered Internet Traffic
5TB Offer on forum:
Internet @ 1 GBPS / Best Effort / up to
18TB Internet Traffic, 100 MBPS after depletion
Restock in ~1 week + a few days, still waiting for shipping and customs...
Okay, so it is just mainly the added ram and bandwidth/port speed, not the harddrives themselfs.
Well, I might register already to be able to get one right away then :')
also 4TB has 4GB ram, 5TB Promo has 2GB ram
yup, that's what I meant with added ram
Waiting for stock replenishment,,, looking forward to it
A little side note for those that re-installed the VPS on the 5TB drive:
why?
, I mean, just ....... why?
.
If you need help on adding the 5TB drive to your VPS open a ticket.
I've did this before (on another storage VPS) to get docker daemon files all on the HDD drive.
Then I just realised I should just mount the docker partition to the HDD drive and keep the OS on SSD/NVMe.
Point being, people just got their reasons I guess. Haha.
I have mounted my 5TB drive onto my VPS. OS is on the SSD. When I run YABS I get the IO speeds of the SSD only. I am looking to find the IO speeds of my mounted 5TB drive. Could someone point me on how to do this? Thanks in advance.
PS: I feel too guilty to disturb their support for this considering the price I bought the VPS. And hope it helps somebody here as well.
You just need to go to any folder on the HDD, and run YABS from there. And the IO test will be the HDD
looks like a great deal! does anyone know if I could do plex (transcode) on this one for one user?
Patiently waiting for the restock.
Curious about the IPv6 support, on the VPS storage store page it says "1 Dedicated IPV6 IP, /64 upon request via ticket" - does this mean you get a /64 subnet allocated, or that you get a single address ie; a /128?
When will the stock be replenished?
I can confirm the 2 vCPU is enough for Plex transcode for one user for up to full HD source. Not enough power for 2 users unfortunately.
Thanks a lot for the heads up. That's great, good to know!
Default /128
/64 on request.
Tomorrow is the last day of the 2-weeks-waiting-for restock, why do I have this nervous sensation ? lol
Man I wish there would be some pre-order
it felt really good and also justified my impulse purchase when many of you wanted the service to be restocked
Looks like a good offer - waiting patiently for a re-stock.
Waiting for restock
Yep same here! Patiently waiting for the restock, hopefully i can snatch one for meself
Hy fellas.
@nullptr - DM
For the moment we are still waiting for customs.... I will keep you posted as soon as we get the drives + other stuff we ordered.
My F5 key is at risk of wearing out from two weeks of refreshing 🙈 +1 to preorders
Can you tag me when you make the re-stock? Idk why LET doesn't notify me at all, although my notification has been turned on.
I can transfer one to whomever wants.
For how much?
Private message me.
hy,
Transcoding on V4 xeons work nice for 1080p, for 4K not so, but it really depends on the output you are transcoding also.
Best results we had with Plex are 1080p movies, no issues. If you have a capable plex player ( like roku, amazon fire tv, google chromecast V2+, apple tv 4) you will not do any transoding, it will do direct play, and with that you can have 2-3 streams without any hangs.
I cannot comment on Jelyfin, we have little to no experience with that.
