Suggestions for free or low-cost email hosting for small startup projects

Hey everyone,
I'm currently looking for a free or low cost email hosting solution for a custom domain for my small startup projects. I used to rely on Zoho's free plan in the past, but it seems like they no longer offer the free option for new users. Additionally, I've encountered some challenges with their customer support. I will use this just for everyday emailing to my customers, not marketing emails. I need to have at least 2 to 5 email addresses.
Could anyone recommend any other free or budget-friendly alternatives that you have had positive experiences with? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions and insights you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!

For monthly there spacemail by Spaceship 10 GB space per mailbox only 2.5$/mo (Advance Package)
Zoho still offers a free plan for up to five users. Webmail only, no IMAP/SMTP.

I know they used to put the free plan at the bottom but can’t seem to find it there anymore. Do you see it there? Will you please share a screenshot? Thanks

Thanks for sharing Joseph, they are still live but all the plans are for 3 year, small plan is dead which would work best for the purpose.

Yes, they're three year plans. Just note that the price listed is for the full three years. So the Medium plan at $30, works out to $10 a year (billed upfront).

+1 for mxroute. Great system. Excellent support (on the very rare occasion you may need it).
Self host using mailcow
It makes sense, I wish the small plan was live. That would do for now.
That's an option for now, either Mailcow or HestiaCP, not sure if there is any better free ones out there.
