Seems like this tutorial by the Proxmox team could help you,
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Migrate_to_Proxmox_VE
(or the advanced version, which seems easier? https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Advanced_Migration_Techniques_to_Proxmox_VE)
yes it's possible. ideally just create a vm with the same config values in proxmox, copy over the vmdk (after stopping the original VM), which in best case is a RAW disk already. otherwise convert it, mount it and adjust network config, attach it to your VM and fire it up.
of course things can get more complex, depending on what is running inside that VM and so on. for regular linux VMs you can do this with a script that copy the image even from live running vm, fix it, rsync data into the mounted disk and then switch over with a very short downtime. done that before, so definitely possible.
Thanks @zGato and @Falzo let me try it
Yes its possible
first shut down the VM and export it as an OVF or OVA file.
Then You can use SCP or any other file transfer method to move the file to the Proxmox server. In the Proxmox web interface, you can import the OVF/OVA file as a new VM.
And at the end Once the VM is imported, you may need to adjust the network settings, storage, and other configurations to match your Proxmox environment.
Before migration, ensure that the configuration requirements and hardware resources of your VMware environment match those of your Proxmox environment. Also, take a backup of the VM before importing it in Proxmox for added safety.
Thanks guys
clonezilla, works 100% of the time.
