Hetzner vSwitch Outage

I've been having problems for 3 hours with Hetzner vSwitch dropping on all my 30 servers, and their team is not providing any updates or communication. Does anyone else have problems?

  • My VMs in Nuremberg are working fine.

  • Can i ask what's your use case for Hetzner vswitch , How reliable are they now.
Tried vswitch in past few years back and they were something a mess for initial setup and
    had latency issues.

I use private 10G Lan with 10g Lan cards between my few servers for critical communication and never had any problem .

I heard vSwitch is known to be unstable a few years ago.

Found something. Still 0 answer from the Hetzner networkz team

vSwitch is not a stable product, and we are moving away from it too.

The normal procedure to fix it would be to:

    • Refresh vSwitch
    • Remove server from the vSwitch
    • Add server to the vSwitch
    • Refresh vSwitch again

I even wrote a script to automate the process, because doing it manually takes so much time :-D

How do you "refresh" the vSwitch?

There's a button in the panel. Refresh is basically asking the backend to reapply the configuration from what I've heard.

On the vSwitch? I can't find it
