    This will not happen.
You can colo your own server, though, they are very cheap on ebay, especially in US.
I mean the specs are very low for ram and disk, you will be better off with a KVM, but will not be quality therefore go with the KVM. On the other hand the 1 gbps is too high.

    Thanked by 1lukesUbuntu
  • If you don't need SSD, there will be offers for you.

  • They did have E3's @$49/mo but seems to be sold out now, maybe have a look.. they use to let you send your own SSD so that maybe an option..

None of those is 1 gbps.

While it does say 100Mbit unmetered I've noticed that all of the servers I have received from WII is pretty close to a 1 Gbit port

It depends, try with speedtest, something you are sure it is outside of their DC.

To be honest I don't think speed test is very accurate.. if you don't like cachefly here is one from softlayer.

Without wanting to sound like I am spamming the thread, I saw Delimiter's Black Friday pricing this morning, some of those offers could work very nicely for you. I will PM you.

[Disclosure: I work for Delimiter's parent company]

  • still on the hunt... i did see getdedi.com but they are out of stock and i cant find any reviews on them. but still looking

  • @trewq said:

I did read it. Burstable to 1Gbps isn't reliable if the OP needs 1Gbps for a large percentage of the servers uptime. Eventually the host is going to start asking questions.

    We can do E3-1220 V3
    120GB SSD
    8GB RAM
    10TB @ 1gbit port
    Infomart Dallas, Tier 3, HIPPA, PCI, SSAE16 Type2 SOC1 & SOC3 facility
    $50/month black friday special

  • I think the E3-1220 has only four threads where as the E3-1230 has eight.

    Depends on your requirement though.

He should be fine as long as he doesn't use more then 3200GB of bandwidth

    3.2TB is nothing... 100Mbit can do 33.3TB

Yeah, it's not, but depending on what he wants the dedi for it might be.

One could always assume at this point. ColoCrossing resellers are becoming even easier to tell apart.

You are no exclusion. I have legitimately rented service from you in the past (and would be willing to do so again). Also, $49 seems a bit cheap. How are you doing this?
