  Do you really want to store so much data on single machine? Unless its the layer 3 backup server, but anyways, restoring so much from other backups would take ages...

  It is possible, here is how:

  1. Get any VPS under $1
  2. Execute these commands

  dd if=/dev/zero of=file.img bs=1 count=0 seek=1PB
  losetup /dev/loop0 file.img
  mkfs.xfs /dev/loop0
  mkdir /mnt/petabyte
  mount /dev/loop0 /mnt/petabyte
  

  3. Enjoy your petabyte filesystem

  df -h
  Filesystem       Size    Used   Avail   Use% Mounted on
  /dev/loop0       910T    929G   909T    1%   /mnt/petabyte
  

  A word of warning, I hope you realise you can only save data there until you have space on the underlying device, but this is the best that you can get for under $1.

  Edit: I realised it is $1/TB but my solution still works!

  Woah, I don't think this price is beatable. Object storage (3x replicated) from Wasabi is $7 USD per TB/mo. and it has egress restrictions.

  @yaty497 could buy 2 of these and use DRBD for replication.
  Would need some special networking gear though, 10 or 40 Gbps at a minimum.

  I thought it's supposed to be the same as NetDynamics, but 2 SSD instead of 1 and 12 cores instead of 16, and 10gbps 200TB instead of 1gbps unlimited.

  Guess you can choose which fits your needs more based on BW.
