More millennials give to charity than any other generation.
Turns out, more millennials donate to charity than any other generation, according to 2018 research by fundraising firm Blackbaud. The researchers found that while 84 percent of millennials donate to charitable organizations, just 72 percent of baby boomers and 59 percent of Generation X do the same. It just goes to show that we're moving toward a kinder, more charitable world.

That's where Canada Post volunteers reply to the millions of letters that come in each year in more than 30 different languages, including braille.

According to Nick Cassavetes, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams did not get along at first and Gosling tried to have McAdams replaced. To improve the relationship between the leads, director Nick Cassavetes staged an intervention by bringing them into a room where they could air all the grievances they had with each other and work something out. They soon patched over their differences, enough to become a real-life couple for some time.
People who volunteer live longer.
Volunteering your time or money won't only help others, it could also help you. One 2011 study from the University of Michigan found that people who volunteer for selfless reasons live longer than those who don't volunteer at all. Those who volunteer for more self-centered reasons, such as looking good in their community, don't experience the same benefits.
"This could mean that people who volunteer with other people as their main motivation may be buffered from potential stressors associated with volunteering, such as time constraints and lack of pay," said researcher Sara Konrath.
The most couples kissing under a mistletoe was 340… and it was for charity!
In 2018, four 13-year-old friends in Dallas, Texas, decided to use the sweet mistletoe custom for a good cause. They organized an event that saw a record-setting 340 people kiss under the mistletoe at one time. Their goal, along with breaking the record, was also to raise "awareness and monies with a view to eliminating hunger in America."
Window washers dress up as superheroes to delight sick kids in the hospital.
Spending time in the hospital is never fun, especially for children. That's why teams of window washers nationwide have been known to attempt to cheer them up by dressing as superheroes. "We donned the Spider-Man costumes and we rappelled down the side of the buildings," Harold Connolly, president of Highrise Window Cleaning, told USA Today in 2013. "We knocked on the glass, waved hello—there were a lot of big smiles."

Steven Spielberg and Tobe Hooper thought that the boy was ad-libbing and just instructed him to look at the camera. When Spielberg saw Robbins's face turning purple, he ran over and removed the clown's arms from Robbins's neck.

Interview With The Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles
All the actors playing vampires were required to hang upside down for up to thirty minutes at a time during the make-up application. This would force all the blood in their bodies to rush to their heads, causing the blood vessels in their faces to bulge out. The make up artists would then trace over the swollen veins creating the eerie translucent-skinned vampire look. Unfortunately for the actors, they would have to repeat the process several times over, as the blood would quickly drain from their heads. This, in part, accounts for the lengthy make-up process.

Production of the film had to be shut down for four days, due to Ben Affleck's refusal to follow David Fincher's vision, and wear a New York Yankees cap for a scene where Affleck's character, Nick, is at an airport. The Bostonian actor said to Fincher, "David, I love you, I would do anything for you. But I will not wear a Yankees hat." Eventually, the two settled for Ben's character to wear a Mets cap. Fincher jokingly describes Affleck's actions of this as "entirely unprofessional" in the DVD's audio commentary.
