Don't think vanilla can ban a user automatically. Maybe the user violated some rule and was banned by a mod.

I'm not surprised someone got banned for spamming to be honest.
Some of you guys have taken it to the extreme with spamming this thread.
The forum generally strongly prohibits spamming, but this competition is asking you to contribute something of value as a comment - the more contributions you make the better the chances of winning. "Contributing" spam is still just spamming. Some of you guys have literally thousands of spam posts in this thread alone.
Holy spam. Seems some of you figured out how to successfully spam a forum without punishment.... For now at least.
I highly doubt the spammers in this thread don't understand they are spamming. I'm sure they know it's not likely what the spirit of the competition is. Just greed and spam.
And that's my rant done.
I am also frustrated with these spammy posts just to increase their probability of getting rewards/giveaways. Every day I open this thread to see if there is something new or what people are doing with these VPSes and to share their expereince. I have asked questions many times here but they got buried in spam posts and I couldn't get them answered.
