  • @contabo_m , so you know why the yabs for Singapore plans seems to be limited to 100mbps instead of 200mbps?

It’s that time of the year again – Black Friday is here! Get ready to save big on your cloud and take advantage of our best prices of the year!

The Contabo Black Friday Sale is on with unbeatable offers like:

i am order, we will test singapore and i get ip with United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.... woooow order singapore with ip UK

  • So today when I refreshed the contabo site turn out Cyber Monday offer is on, so there is no setup fee.
So I just got one for myself in EU with an SSD disk.

After initial setup etc, I wondered about the yabs, so I fired up the yabs, It turned out I got Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 v4 @ 2.20GHz and is not the AMD Epyc, even though it advertised as AMD Epyc when I bought one.

I have already posted a support ticket, but I don't know when they will answer it.

Anyway this is the YABS from EU Cyber Monday.

How you get no steup fee? Cyber Monday Exclusive:No Location Fee & Free Storage Extension

  • Looks like their JP VPS is a bit whacky from the look of it. Tried trace route to the IP that was assigned on my end and everything was as expected until the final hop which should have been +/- 50ms but ended up with 150ms+ which is like having a VPS in either US or somewhere in the EU.

I contacted Support and they told me the problem even though on the Configure your VPS page JP is 50ms and SG is 30ms.

It was only for maybe 4 hours or something.

It seems it will change depending on the offer. Right now they are offering a free disk upgrade, which should save about 2 USD a month if I am not mistaken.

  • So Good Friday or Cyber Monday deals is better?

  • Cyber Monday deals is better

Agree especially if you need more space in the long run it will help you with the bill.
But if you think 200 GB is enough, it should be okay without the BF or CM deal.

I only consider the SSD instead of NVME because the speed is limited to 200 Mbit, unless your server needs to crunch a lot of data NVME can be considered.

    @contabo_m Hello??
    These reply from your cs
"Those problems most likely are connected with the website itself or the local ISP issues, we unfortunately can not influence the policies of the Internet Service Providers, we kindly ask to try another machine/internet connection or contact the provider directly."

    Still unresolved, @contabo_m ?

  • @contabo_m I still can't use the VPS from your service for almost 7 days, you said you had changed to another node/host but now it can't be accessed from anywhere. Can't log in even though I have tried changing the password for both VNC and SSH connections.

  • Did you contact their support? No response or follow up?

So great they're solved the issues within 7day since I opened ticket( opened 3 ticket since no update every 2 days from them)

  • Why need to open new ticket? Can just update that particular ticket?

So what is the issue and actions done?

  • JP's performance is abysmal, connectivity wise, good thing I didn't prepay for a year like I usually would.
