    And, they have started to call programs "apps", and every settings view is split where like 50 % of things are at the older "control panel" and 50 % of things are in the newer "settings", that's also annoying

    The split between Settings and Control Panel was the same with Windows 10 as well, worse even. You can turn off the reminder to sign in with a MS account like so: https://www.windowscentral.com/software-apps/windows-11/dear-microsoft-i-dont-want-you-to-remind-me-later-just-take-no-for-an-answer

    Sometimes it feels like they're ACTIVELY TRYING to give Apple more market share. Doing things they KNOW will annoy the hell out of everyone.

    Apple has never done some big design thing that seems like it's meant to just annoy the crap out of you (apart from "smaller" things, like the iCloud storage running out warning) to make a quick buck, but Microsoft never stops it.

    Not as bad because it's not DESIGNED to annoy me, I would never buy it, it's stupid, but the POINT isn't to annoy me. With Microsoft, every single thing that annoys me is their actual intention. That fact annoys me even more.

    The worst part about this is that Google is an advertising company which makes the vast majority of its revenue from advertising. Google gives away Android for free so that it can include Google apps which have advertising in them. However, even Google does not put any ads in the Android operating system itself. Microsoft, which charges for the Windows license, puts ads and crapware all over Windows.

    Honestly, I think this is not really an issue if you use the mouse. The charge lasts a long time, you do get warning if the battery is low so you can charge beforehand, and even in an emergency you can plug it in for just a couple of minutes and you'll get enough charge on the mouse to use it.

    The actual problem with the mouse is the ergonomics - it's just not a comfortable mouse, and it's not a good idea to use this mouse for this reason - the charging situation is not really in issue in practice, it just makes good memes.
