Yet another visual traceroute + GeoIP utility: OpenTrace

Windows

OpenTrace: https://github.com/Archeb/opentrace

I will put only one image here to keep the thread clean, check out the readme for more images.

As its name suggests, this is an open source alternative for WinMTR or whatever. It's based on NextTrace.

Download

Get OpenTrace from releases or build your own binary.

Features

  • Cross-platform native GUI (Windows WPF / Linux GTK / macOS)

  • An interface you are familiar with, but with even more powerful functionalities

  • User-friendly GUI and easy-to-understand parameter descriptions

  • MTR (My Traceroute) functionality

  • Multi-language support

  • Custom DNS Resolvers (DNS, DoH)

  • Supports local .MMDB database

You can use OpenTrace to test network quality and find out whether the packets travel to your server have circled the earth to help you make better purchasing decisions.

Hope this tool helps you, and suggestions and feature requests are welcomed.
