    I find that doing push-ups helps in this case. When things like this happen I do 100 push-ups and my mood totally changes to a much better one.

    welcome! I think my next racknerd vps will be for a "disposable" test environment. fresh install > replicate a current server set up > test new stuff > push to current server > wipe and start over

    Thanks! And yea I agree that testing things in a disposable environment might be a good use for a VM on your host machine. Check out VMware Player or Workstation. Or if you prefer FOSS alternatives, VirtualBox.

    But VPSes are great too! I'm trying to find a suitable VPS for my limited needs.

    Did you know that they changed the scale of tornadoes from the old "Fujita scale"

    to

    the "Enhanced Fujita scale"

    I expect this was done to show the increasing severity of tornadoes over time due to climate change. A category F-3 tornado in 1970 would be a category F-4 or F-5 tornado today. Obviously scientist would take into account this change, but most lay people would not.
