Borg support you say? Would need to think about it. 😄

@vitobotta said: The only difference is that I am using Borg now instead of Duplicacy, because now that the problem is solved, Borg via regular SSH seems actually faster than Duplicacy with SFTP.

Borg is also fairly memory efficient considering it runs on Python. Years of optimization by Thomas, the current maintainer.

Will try to add some more backup tools for this year's big backup benchmark: https://github.com/borgbase/benchmarks

  • I’ve been using kopia, works well.

I actually contacted you but I am not sure because the discount you mentioned only applies to new customers, and I tested the service for a short time a few years ago. :)

Kopia is the least reliable backup tool I have used, second only to Duplicati. It managed to corrupt archives 3 times in a row in different backups. I wouldn't trust it yet. It's too new.

Wow, surprised to hear that. I’ve never had an issue!

I strongly recommend you avoid it for the time being until it's more mature. Luckily I was using it alongside Restic otherwise I would have been screwed. I was careful since it's a very new backup tool.
