Exploring a VPS with mem 2GB
Recently, the number of VPSs being offered is less than 1GB of memory, or more than 4GB of memory, and I feel that there are few offerings of 2GB of memory.
I'm looking for a VPS with 2GB memory to build an Akkoma instance, so I'd like to get some good information about this. Main conditions;
- Memory: 2GB (1.5GB is also OK)
- Storage: 20GB or more (DB is used, so more is better)
- Bandwidth: At least 1TB per month (since it's a SNS like Mastodon, the more the better)
- Price: Less than $3 per month (Also take into account 3 or 6 months)
The following are the conditions I am looking for this time, but please comment and share any information that does not meet these requirements. (For those looking for the same):
- OS: Compatible with Debian 12 (Debian 11 currently cannot install the latest Akkoma)
- Server location: US, Canada/EU or Asia, etc. (assuming use from Japan)
- IPv4 is provided (IPv6 only had problems with S3 access)
- Payment method: PayPal accepted

Everything up to this point is an annual plan. Not so.
Buy 1-year or 3-year plan.
Use, but don't abuse.
Put up in Service Transfer when no longer wanted.

I think you will have better options if you go for annual plans. Naranjatech is extremely good for your requirements for 18EUR/yr (refer above list).
As sunny said above, you can transfer it after your use. Just make sure you select a host which has low transfer fees, or pick up a very limited time plan.
For eg, Racknerd has plans available all the time and their transfer fees is $8 so you might have a tough time trying to transfer it since one can directly buy it from them.
