Being a romanian I had my share of canceled orders and requests for ID photo, selfie holding the ID, selfie holding a piece of paper with the support ticket # written on it, photo of my credit card, photos of my utility bills, you name it, asked by various companies. It never ends this shitshow. However, I was surprised that signing up for Hetzner and Netcup was fast and smooth, without any such requests. As a mention, I did received a call from Netcup, they just wanted me to confirm my info.
