Number of Cores: 1 or 2, doesn't even need to be a powerful CPU
RAM: at least 1024MB
Disk Space: I bring my own HDD, shipped to the facilities.
Disk Type: SATA 3.5" mainly, bonus points if a SAS HDD is supported, please let me know
Bandwidth: 1.5-2TB minimum
Port Speed: 60 Mbps minimum
DDoS Protection: If it doesn't cost extra, yes
Number of IPs: 1, IPv4 is essential.
Location: European Union is essential
Budget: The absolute lowest possible for this configuration
Billing period: Any, and I can do a yearly commitment to lower prices.
OS: Linux, but if Windows could be also installed on the VPS under a BYOL type of arrangement, that would be great. If not, I'll simply go the Linux route and be happy. The priority is the lowest cost for this.
Besides a first type of VPS that actually has a HDD and is paid monthly, I actually reached the conclusion that, despite shipping, this will also be a very viable option for long-term storage and expanding my own (for both to be executed together).
There is a potential of having multiple VPS on this configuration (or for other configurations to be requested) under the same provider, which could be a huge plus medium term.

That is actually US, I wanted Europe though...
This is such a specific niche, zfs.rent is basically all you get. You underestimate the costs for a provider to do something like this. You might be able to get a dedicated server and ship your own drives in, but that's basically it.
I can do colo for NAS in amsterdam soon. So if you want to consider putting a synology or qnap unit into colo with MyRootPW in Amsterdam, then i can probably do a good deal for space/power. Just open a ticket. (I can also help source hardware).
I know this is not "VPS" as requested, but i suspect most providers will not have a super easy time accommodating the request for storage bays to be filled by third party drives.
@alfatarsos, what's your budget, as despite you shipping your harddrive (mist likely to save on storage) the supplier will need to set you up personally with a server, which is where the expense is made (in terms of power) - Helping LET suppliers with your budget will help you get more offers. I'm trying to find a solution on how this can be made efficiently for both the supplier and customer, but can't think of any without a budget in mind. Help us :-)
