@NDTN should also have a transfer lock for x initial months or first billing cycle to stop mjjs

This has been stated via TOS already: https://greencloudvps.com/terms-of-service.php

GreenCloud does allow transferring services to other customers. It’s free of charge for the first request only, any additional transfer requests will cost $10/one-time fee. Each transfer request is counted per one VPS service. Special discounted and promo plans can be transferred only after being active for at least one month on the owner account.

    4. 10x 1010 plan VPS (no transfer supported)

No transfer forever, or no transfer in first billing period (i.e. can transfer out after a paid renewal)?

Nice so you think they will have a nice complicated setup to enable this or just set up a date on google calander for three years from now to allow transfer?

No transfer in the first billing period when it's free.

I know, I know, it's all my fault.
Last year I won San Jose 9999 plan and subsequently transferred it.
However, I kept the Chicago 9999 plan that I paid for.

Every time restock I can't open cart and checkout website...: ( Bad feeling

Are you already logged in? Also you just need to click on buttons no need to fill any details (have address already added to your account, maybe try PayPal express checkout out that requires 1 less click , have credits already in your account, if you know eventually you are going to buy it anyways (credits are not refundable) I don't work for @NDTN so thake my advice with a grain of salt

Yeppp,I've try it. but the problem is when it restock, the webpage stop working...like it is facing DDOS attack. Maybe it my network quality issue. Thanks a lot!

  • Question @NDTN
I have older VPS at KVMDE1 and I am very happy with it. Definitely a keeper. What is the chance that 1010 Birthday DE ends up at this same node? (preference is of course different node in case there's more than one).

Enjoy your upgrade remember don't have all your backups on same server follow 3-2-1 rule , Greencloudvps is Prem but even AWS faces downtime sometimes, you can always buy a storage server from other region ,

I sold two 9999 plans last year.
    List price was 9999 push-ups.
    It's not considered a punishment.

Yep, thanks for the reminder. I have a backup with HotHatch but should probably get another. What's the 3-2-1 rule though?

  • Also , having backups is just one part of story, you should also regularly test your recovery plan (that is assuming you have one, you really need to think this beforehand, not after disaster)

Thanks! How do you do the 2 local (on-site) part? Get 2 x servers in the same datacentre, or is the host having RAID 10 enough? I think that article is missing a tip: "get your off-site backups with another company". Might not be relevant if you use AWS, but still worth considering I think.
