Hello,

What are you using as SEO tool for static web site?
Sitemap generator with autoupdate future? (In case we add some new pages)

  • Basically, a sitemap is not needed if your site is simple and does not have a massively huge number of pages.

Additionally, you can consider putting your site on Ahrefs Webmaster Tools, which is a free tool that can provide recommendations for SEO improvement.

a .txt sitemap with plain urls is simple and crawled by googlebot quite earlier than .xml, but both will do.

also a static page of containing links to all pages is beneficial.

really ? Is it better than using XML on a large website?

It depends on how complex the site is.

If it’s a few pages with a clear navigation structure, you don’t need a sitemap.

If Google can easily crawl it by clicking the navigation bar, no need.

Also, if you plan on making a complex site with lots of frequently updated content, opt for a CMS like Ghost or WordPress (install Yoast).

You’ll make your life a lot easier.

    There’s no significant difference.
