hyperhostsolutionshyperhostsolutions Member, Patron Provider

What does providers that use WHMCS use for fraud tools were currently using fraudlabs , we did try out maxmind but it seems to give us more tickets that what fraudlabs gave us ,

intrigued to see what everyone preferes / uses

FraudRecord, if you're trying to avoid spammers, it's great.

We use Maxmind to a good degree of success (but on Hostbill). The main trick is with "MaxMind Fraud Risk Score".

We set the score to a higher value to accept orders where it may have a mismatch, but we generally review manually to screen customers who pay via card.

Fraudrecord is a good supplement for manual checking +1.

Fraud record is a great tool for finding spammers for your service.

They rarely work these days. More false positives than fraud prevented. Better off just refunding and terminating everyone who signs up with an obviously fake name.

Curious, what problem(s) are you seeing that raises this discussion, or are you just shopping around?

You mean the Tim Cook who signed up the other day is not really Tim Cook? /s 🤣
