Sorry for being late, but RS was never a great provider. Their support make way too many mistakes, and is slower than other (albeit more expensive) providers. Psychz costs 3-5x more but is much faster with support and makes few mistakes, even with so-so peering.
The only thing RS has is a good network at a good price. It's the Ryanair, Robinhood or Cogent of dedis. And there's a reason why Delta, Fidelity and Lumen aren't out of business. @MrRadic even admitted it himself.
Heck, GoDaddy for what they're worth is 100x better despite being overpriced and treating you like a literal child, that for a VPS. Yes, GoDaddy's target users are less tech savvy than us, but if a company with a very bad rap does better than one without it's a problem.
EDIT: By no means do I want to put down RS, but their use case is cheap, not best-of-breed. You save money but don't get the best product. If you're not running a complex web/mobile/API or VPN/Tor exit, you're more or less okay. If you want to run those things I mentioned, run away.

I don't claim to be the best at everything. Please don't compare us to other companies. We don't offer competitive pricing through cutting corners, we spend tremendously more on R&D than companies of our size to be able to innovate and push those discounts down to our customers. We aim to provide a premium product, and that's visible in the network, facilities, and hardware that we offer. We listen to our customers, and make tremendous strides to improve on those things where we're lacking. We also offer a feedback channel directly in our support system.
PS - Most of those companies you listed aren't doing too well.
Lumen's doing great, if you count "selling their entire EU presence" as great
