NVMe disappeared - OVH

I have a server at OVH with 2 NVMe drives, and after a reboot, one drive disappeared.

I perform SMART monitoring, and there are no reported failures. The drive had less than 2 years of use.

Any suggestions?

I've seen cases like this before that were "fixed" by powering the server off (via IPMI, not the OS) for 10 minutes, then back up again.

I'd say give that a try at first.

  • Start a rescue system and check. If it is not seen contact with the support. Because you only have remote access to the server, I think that determining the possible cause and fixing it is the provider's task because you only rent the server.

  • OVH has resolved the issue.
