Do you actually run ZFS on linux? Last I tried the ZFS kernel module was a bitch, consuming all the free memory for its ARC cache, it wouldn't release the memory fast enough before other processes OOM'ed.
That'll end up at around $3 per hour to the lucky candidate.

I can help with ZFS.. mostly with Proxmox probably, as I use ZFS+LXD in producion for years. "HBA Mode" is I guess just exposing drives to Linux as it is not recommended to actually use any hardware RAID with ZFS.
PM with general expectations and terms so we could possibly figure it out.
