    Setup fees are waived for all customers when the server is purchased with a 12-month commitment or longer on the Rise, Advance, Scale or High grade range of dedicated servers on a permanent basis.
    For the low-cost ranges Kimsufi and Soyoustart, a setup fee applies (except during occasional promotional offers).

    Thanks for confirmation for existing account holders, so we cannot buy new severs since there's long term commitment for OVH and setup fees for KS/SYS. Also creating new account is pretty stupid idea to qualify for every promotion.

    @OVH_APAC Why is the currency changed during a transfer?
    For example originally a Server paid in CAD, is changed to USD.

    I end up paying more as before.

  • Can confirm that OVH refused to waive the setup fees for us upon inquiry, even when I offered to commit to 12 months on a Kimsurfi server. Creating a new account isn't really an option either since you need to go through ID verification again... too much hassle and may not even work.

    @OVH_APAC I created account on 15th June and then bought a KS-3. On seeing the latest offer with no setup fee for new users, I ordered a KS-16 on 28th June but the invoice had setup fee of $26.76. So I raised a ticket regarding this issue(and didn't pay) since I believe that a customer is considered new at least for the first 30 days. Today is 1st July and I have neither received a reply to my ticket nor has my invoice being changed to not include the setupfees.

    I have an OVH IE personal account with an EU address. I'd like to apply my right of 14 days cancellation

    But when I login on ovh.com/manager, click on view my orders and on three dots next to my completed order, I only see the order tracking and view the order in HTML format.

    Have you got any idea what can be the problem? I have two additional services from OVHCloud so I'm not a new customer, my account near 1-year old.

    Hello @Neoon, i'm not sure to understand correctly your request, did you transfer a server from a CAD account to another account in USD? Each website at OVHcloud use a local currency and server prices are fixed in this local currency. conversion rate used was the one at the time the reference was created.     I suggest you create a ticket to our support team via ovh.com/manager and request for the cancellation asap.
    Thanks and will check internally why the option is not there.

    Thanks for the clarification. Since I got the clarification, I closed the ticket and made the payment. Unfortunately, the ticket was unanswered till then. Guess from the next time if I have any issues, I should try lowendtalk before opening a ticket

    Purchasing a dedicated server in OVH is much more complex than the hetzner process.
