Need 6 2Gb Linux VPS all in different regions managed from the same place

My apologies if I'm asking something really obvious.

I need to run 6-8 Linux VPSes, each need not be big—2Gb ram is plenty. However, each VPS must have an IPv4 from a completely different region. And all of them must be easily managed (rebooted, reinstalled, paid for) from the same control panel.

AWS seems like an obvious choice, but for certain reasons Amazon is not an option. They have grossly overbilled us on more than one occasion.

Please suggest a cheap VPS provider with plethora of data centers that does not overbill. Once again, the focus is to have 6 identical Linux VPSes all from different geographical regions. I want to pay for each 3 years in advance and forget about billing until mid-2026.

Thank you.

  • Few providers who have multiple locations are

    https://www.misaka.io
    http://vultr.com
    http://digitalocean.com
    https://www.linode.com

Go with this provider if you need good uptime for the next 3 years as you wish.

Check out my plans, four US locations in every part of the country, two Asia locations, high quality networks, DDoS protection. If you want to pay that long in advance maybe we can get a deal. ExtraVM has been here since 2014.

  • https://www.edisglobal.com/ has a ton of locations but maybe not so lowend.
Annual payment is an option in their panel, I guess you can contact them to ask for payment 3 yrs in advance.

    The obvious answer is Vultr

Very stable, reputable, like DO but locations on steroids

While you can’t prepay, you can top up, so topup enough to cover whatever time you want

You’ll get emailed an invoice each month that in the bottom says ”your account balance cover this” basically

Have used Vultr, performance was decent.
Uptime not so great, but it was related to ongoing works in particular location I went with(was down every week pretty much).

I'd also go with providers that allow you to prepay for services, not like "cloud" providers where you are billed per hour and they can increase the price whenever they want and fuck you over.

Changes might come to their $3.5 deals, but I highly doubt the $5 plans will have a price increase.

Linode & DO have regular plans starting at $5 too, they’re all kind of stuck at $5.

Anyone increases their regular would instantly lose new clients to the other two.

At place of OP that wants to pay and forget, I wouldn't take pinky promise they won't change the prices.

I would go with something that is prepaid and you get one invoice for the whole 3 years.

    Forget isn’t possible

    A server might fail

    Backups may be manually restored

    An update might fail

    A service might fail

Vultr might raise their prices with $1 and cause him to have to top up 2 months earlier

No provider equals a 0 % chance of anything ever going wrong

But Vultr is definitely one of the more stable ones considering the price range combined with the need for many locations
