Blue-green deployment on low-end VPS

Has anyone had any experience with setting up blue-green deployment on low-end VPS?

Casper describes his DigitalOcean set up here, but I'd rather look at alternative providers. I think the achille's heel though is the floating IP (now called Reserved IP by DigitalOcean).

I've looked at quite a few providers and can't see anything similar.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

BuyVM @Francisco may have the necessary features:

    • Order two slices of same spec at the same location.
    • Order offload SQL feature for the database.
    • Setup BGP sessions from both slices, announce a /48 prefix from both slices, and announce a smaller /64 prefix within that /48 from the production slice only.
The /64 announcement will not reach DFZ, but it can route incoming traffic to your production slice.
