Hello, where is the best and most affordable remote backup storage? (FTP/SFTP )
Comments
hetzner storage box
ServaRICA has been good in my experience. You could also take a look at Hetzner Storage Boxes or other storage VPSes.
@NetDynamics24 can help.
FTP/SFTP are not common with cloud storage providers but quite a few offer WebDAV access.
If you mean a storage vps that's a different thing.
Have you seen this lifetime deal at AppSumo?
https://appsumo.com/products/sftpcloud
It serves as a middleman to get backups to AWS S3, Wasabi, DigitalOcean Spaces, Backblaze, IDrive e2, and Azure Blob Storage.
https://netdynamics24.com/backup-services.php
use this coupon to get 30% discount lifetime recurring:
LET30%
On top of that, annual orders offer two months for free.
Our servers in USA and Germany are RAID-6 protected.
I know platforms like AWS, backblaze, digitalocean, wasabi don't give FTP/SFTP access. So STFPCloud gives us SFTP access for popular backup storage tools? Did I get right?
BTW you can create FTP/SFTP (and more protocols) access to many popular storage providers using rclone.
After configuring an rclone remote you can, for example, simply start an FTP server on port 8080 (and optionally add an htpasswd file with usernames and passwords of allowed users) like this:
rclone serve ftp --addr :8080 --htpasswd /path/to/users.htpasswd remote:
rclone is free so if you do that on a cheap VPS this solution will be the most affordable.
Serverica will be the best for you. Or if you need more space OVH have in their eco offer some dedicated servers with 2x6tb for 25€.
