Contabo VPS quality mark.
https://www.netdata.cloud/ it's a monitoring service for servers, it has a free tier that's more than enough for me
wow. never thought that this is possible
AlphaVPS the EPYC one, while doing Geekbench 5. CPU steal vary from 3-20, with average around 10.

55%? Bye the way netdata is awesome. thanks for sharing this.
how to monitor steal?
top
command.. check the %CPU stAre they serious? Hostcram is inch away from Hostcrap
All data was received during the GB5 benchmark.
amen!
with this method, however, a fool must sit in front of the computer and permanently observe the value himself. is there a tool that can monitor / record the steal value?
While ago I bought vps with dedicated cpu core from lowend provider, I noticed that I still have some cpu steal. It was low 0.3-2%, but it should be 0% aince it's dedicated vcore
If you use https://www.netdata.cloud/ they will send you an email alert if the steal of the server is too much for more than 20 minutes
Mentally strong people don't have CPU steal.
You ask your provider to migrate VPS, if they refuse, you terminate.
Most of the time, they agree and you be happier later.
Especially on idle, you should see nearly zero cpu steal.
Imagine route bending with cpu steal, delayed processing time, no fucking way.
Interesting. Hetrix only monitors IOWait afaik. So measuring CPU Steal could help, too.
Most of our nodes never exceeds 50% CPU usage.
What seems to be the problem?
The name! Once there was fapvps.com (WHT era), abbreviation of Fast Affordable Performant VPS. Of course no one decyphered that name in same manner. Just fap VPS.
You are on the edge my friend. Because I read your LLC name and for some reason m is replaced with p in my mind. I gotta go for my aderal...
Sometimes I miss type hostcram as hostcream and pronounce it as hostkeram (meaning "host cramps")
fapvps kinda have good abbreviation, not gonna lie
for what is the steal?
please answer in ID via pm
I'm using a VPS from [you know who you are] with 4GB, two cores and 0.3% average steal rate, but I ain't showing anything because [you know who you are] doesn't pay out referral commissions for their budget plans (which are the only plans they sell).
my VPS from Contabo is ok for now, it doesn't go over 10% steal. also, another VPS from Netcup (cheap one, no root server) has no steal at all.
ZAP Lifetime LXC: 0% Steal running GB5 (YABS):
Not sure if there is some restriction as to how good LXC can measure CPU steal, but if it can, that 0% Steal seems good.
SpeedyPage SG 8GB
Peak is 6.9% but after the fio test in yabs it averages 0%~0.25%
Just running a simple docker app.
HAZI.ro "Cheap KVM HDD Server"
Obviously not gonna renew it.
8GB HR-KVM Plan from Aquatis, currently running a Looking Glass.
I just noticed my VPS load is too low so it may not count in this convo.
