You have increase your budget. :) bro

    You need 10Gbps not 1Gbps ~ ~

  • You're looking at something that's going to be $800+/mo. Did you miss a zero on your budget?

I'm so glad you were able to come tell me about metered vs unmetered. I'm sure that'll help that guy find his sub-$80 server with those specs that much sooner.

EDIT: Looks like the budget has been raised already, to $100. Still, not helpful at all. Telling people they need to increase their beer budget for their champagne wishes is constructive.

  • bastabbastab Member, Host Rep

@MMX i mean ,Your budget looks like for 1Gbps server.

But if you can increase it 20-30$ more or decrease ram & bandwidth then i can help you :)

20TB will be tough, its either 100, 300 or unmetered.
i believe walkerservers are now calledhostingby.design and they have something like this:
E3-1230, 32GB, 4x8TB HDD 10GBIT 100TB €78.95 and you might want to contact them for possible custom. Another is andy10gbit, google for his discord server, he has something like this:
    E-2274G 32GB RAM 4x480GB SSD 10Gbit 100TB Traffic €125
    or unmetered E-2236 16GB RAM 512GB NVMe 10Gbps Unmetered for 350EUR/month
I had 10down/1up from him, ovh in france, for like 70 bucks or whatever a few years back, it had an insane performance.
Also can look at netcup RS8000 (its a VPS), 2.5 gbit, 120TB monthly, 14 vcores, 64gb ram, 2TB ssd, for like 55e/month.
I had walkers, andy, netcup rs, all did its thing.
Technically, you can do 20TB on 1gbit in 2 days, at full throttle. A lot of times, people dont really know what they need, they think they need 10gbit etc, while in reality for them 2.5 is plenty, and 1gbit also is enough.

    20TB doesn't make sense on a 10Gbit port.
As a hosting company, just not worth it offering anything below 100/150TB on 10G

Thank you for your reply. In fact, I need a NIC greater than 1Gbps, but currently most of it is 10Gbps

The prices are the same for Andy, or even higher, tho. OVH increased their prices.

OP told that even Hetzner is out of his budget, while there you can get server with his requirements with 10 Gbit/s upgrade for like 80-90 EUR.

So @MMX, dude, here's the deal.

The top car is your budget
The bottom car is what you want

If you post up some more realistic expectations, there looks to be a few people here willing to try and help but you but as it sits, you're not going to get anywhere near that.

As i said, i do not know the current pricing, thats why told op to contact andy. While energy prices increased last year, those specs are old, so price could have dropped significantly.

On the other hand side, everyone is now getting bamboozeled by all these companies and their cries of increased pricing, as natural gas, and electricity, dropped significantly, yet yall paying premium (old high gas price). Also keep in mind, that andy always had budget stuff from ovh, i think older spec racks, therefore his pricing was always lower than ovh page. His real pricing is usually even lower than what is posted on his discord, hence my repeated saying- contact andy, to see true picture.

Doable, sure, anything is doable. It's a matter of whether you're going to get what you pay for. Since you didn't post a link, I ended up tracking it down with the promo code you used and came back to this

    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/184321/rackdog-review

Which basically breaks down to "Well, for the price, you can't complain... but it's not 10gbit"

Bottom line is he wants a 10gig server at a 1gig price. That's not how it works. If he's happy paying that for "10gbit" that's his perogative but those YABS don't lie.

Cant hit your budget, but if you want good bandwidth, ddos protection, and good support let us know

    https://my.oplink.net/store/dedicated-servers/dual-intel-xeon-e5-2683-v4

    E3-1230 v6 3.50GHz
    32GB ECC RAM
    2 x 500GB SSD
    10Gb/s - 50TB BW
    59 GBP/mo

Upgrade to 64GB for 20GBP, upgrade to 2x1TB SSD for 10GBP and add the /28 for 15Gbp/mo for a total of 104GBP/mo

They also got a pretty decent 5950X box.

If you really need the bandwidth, these have 10Gbps unmetered for less than $100 USD:
https://tempest.net/micro-cloud They recently posted on LET too: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/183829/tempest-net-unmetered-10gb-s-39-99-mo-shop-now#latest

Check out Tube-Hosting. So many hosts are resellers of them since their 10gbit servers are cheap.

  • If you're looking for a dedicated server with a 10Gbps network connection, there are several hosting providers that offer such servers. Here are some options to consider:

OVHcloud: OVHcloud is a popular hosting provider that offers a range of dedicated servers with 10Gbps network connections. Their servers are available in different configurations, with varying amounts of RAM, storage, and CPU power.

HostDime: HostDime is another hosting provider that offers dedicated servers with 10Gbps network connections. They have servers available in multiple locations around the world, including the US, Brazil, and India.

Liquid Web: Liquid Web offers high-performance dedicated servers with 10Gbps network connections. They have servers available in multiple configurations, with options for up to 1TB of RAM and 40 CPU cores.

LeaseWeb: LeaseWeb is a hosting provider that offers dedicated servers with 10Gbps network connections, along with a range of other features such as DDoS protection and customizable firewall rules.

Hetzner: Hetzner is a hosting provider that offers dedicated servers with 10Gbps network connections, with servers available in multiple locations in Europe.

When selecting a hosting provider for your 10Gbps dedicated server, make sure to consider factors such as reliability, support, and pricing to ensure that you get the best value for your money. It's also important to consider your specific requirements in terms of CPU power, RAM, storage, and other features to ensure that you choose a server that meets your needs.
