I like this poll. Straight to the point.
Oops. I fixed the poll now.
I believe people who needs a cheap vps are ready to use NAT vps. Even when they can use ipv6.
10-15$/year maximum. A fair price will be 1$/month
No. Ipv6 only vps is ok if it's cheaper. I don't need ipv4.
Virtual machines with network address translation are a success nowadays, as more people need VPNs in these troubled times.
It would be wonderful if these VMs were to be offered with some features like DMCA ignoring, unlimited bandwidth, and so on.
Yes, but if it's actually a NAT VPS, not IPv6 only.
Completely disagree.
IPv4 is a must, even if it's shared with a few dozens of ports only.
IPv6 connectivity isn't available worldwide, and I'm unsure whether everything will always work properly e.g. if some IPv4 only resource is being accessed via IPv6 only VPN.
1 GB isn't always necessary. Smaller VPSes are perfectly OK as well - real low-end offers are scarce these days.
@Cam and his services is a good confirmation of the ideas above.
No interest from me. I buy VPSs with a public IP address.
People wouldn’t buy them if there was no market for them.
NAT VMs are about having fun with strictly limited resources, so I wouldn't call for a tiny box with more than 256MB RAM. 128MB is preferred, in fact.
For $5/yr you are better off working at McDonald's (as a provider). Absolutely no market for this shit. If you can't afford at least 5 dollars a month VPS instance, stay with shared hosting.
I am always in the market for IPv6 only ones. If they have NAT IPv4, that is a bonus.
They must be cheap, though. 10 a year at max if they are more than 512 MB and have 2 tb or more traffic.
I'm interested in NAT VPSes that have reasonable resources but happen to have a shared IPv4 to save on cost. I've given up using <=256MB VPSes because they have a tendency to randomly die during system updates from OOM.
KVM or LXC?
i was searching for the nat vm bundles unfortunately its out of stock everywhere
Depends, on Location, Specs, Virtualization.
