ChatGPT Plus

SirFoxySirFoxy Member
edited March 2023 in General

Has anyone here been successfully approved for ChatGPT plus?

Been waiting a minute for an invite and would gladly pay the $20 for constant access / constant API access.

Love feeding it data / prompts and seeing what it comes up with and use it for a couple of different things, but keep running into "ChatGPT is at capacity right now" during peaks.

Edit: also tried using a VPN to change my geo and see if it'd connect me to a different server / let me in, but no luck that way either.

    Depends on the country afaik.
I've got the plus version for quite few months, but tbh not really worth it.
When there is load, it doesn't matter you have Plus. It's unusable for all.

I think they should make a subdomain/private are for Plus members only and allocate more resources there.

"Unable to load history", "Unable to load GPT-4", "Chat is not available now. Please try again.".

Oh really? I thought when the load was high it switched to Plus only?

If that's the case then yeah I'd agree it wouldn't be worth it. That's the only reason I want it really.

"Something went wrong. If this issue persists please contact us through our help center at help.openai.com."

When I try to login with the "special plus link"

When I try to login with the "special plus link"

That seems like the only benefit of purchasing it lol

    No luck so far.
Heads up, currently ChatGPT shows other people's chat history in the sidebar! 🥴

Also, today it was having lots of stability issues...

Interesting, love the Chinese prompts on that guys post hahaha "Xi Jinping's six principals" , "China's Socialism Development" -- mine would be like:

"Create 10 reasons why an older person would buy a beginner beading bracelet kit today with X format."

AI isn't good enough to quite feel human yet, so for serious projects you'll definitely want it done by a human. Not enough emotion or subjectiveness.

It is nice for brainstorming and playing around with, though.

    Code mostly. Code is fine.
And "how do I do this on linux, because I only know how to do it with X software on windows"

It can actually create kernel modules about 90% accurate... I made it do a full git repo for an apache and nginx module... so it's worth the money until now.
The blackouts are kinda the only thing that annoys me.

I'd love to know what the prompts were. In my experience ChatGPT's code is off even for the ever-so-slightly complicated requests.

Feeding it the right data and making sure it understands how it should output it and what it's for is key in my experience (but I'm doing writing, not programming).

  • It won't even let me login. Stuck on chat.openai.com login page forever, no matter how many times I click on that "login"....

I didn't know anyone was still waiting, pretty sure it was available for me the moment they went public with it. But I'm happy to support their work because honestly it's supporting mine as well. I've got it on SEO duty for an early iteration of a new blog: https://blog.mxroute.com/spf-records-are-essential/

It's honestly like having an assistant and with the way I tend to split my attention across so many things, it's quite welcome.

I've been on the list since they made it worldwide and I'm in the US lol. Maybe it got lost in the internet abyss?

    ChatGPT, oh ChatGPT
    With AI so smart
    But alas, it’s at capacity
    Leaving us to wait
    For a chance to chat
    With its wisdom and wit
    We long to be part
    Of its conversation
    But for now, we sit
    On the sidelines
    Patiently waiting
    For the day
    When ChatGPT
    Is ready to play
    Again.

You just don't know how to query good enough.
