KS-1 Alternatives?

Hi guys, I bought an OVH KS-1 machine earlier this month(6.1$/month+6.1$ setup fee), but the performance is even worse than I thought.
I need a big storage VPS for cheap, here's the requirements

1 vCPU (usually idle, but burstable performance is needed)
1 GB RAM
1 TB Disk (HDD, SSD, HDD with SSD cached, all above is acceptable)
1 Gbps Internet Up&Down (2 TB or more bandwidth)
3~5$/month budget or 30$~40$ annually
Anywhere in the world is ok

Great connection to Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX), Montreal Internet Exchange (QIX) and OVH Oregon Datacenter. This is a nice-to-have

Hetzner storage box will be good for you.
Otherwise you need to wait for black friday deals

What's wrong about the performance? Should be much more than enough to saturate the 100 Mbit available, both ways, with any of rsync, sshfs, CIFS, NFS, NBD, etc - even over a VPN.

But you got a 2 TB disk on the KS1, no?

Here's the problem, 100Mbps is not enough.

Indeed, that's why I have been quite annoyed these days. (aka. should I keep it or not. What if the drives are failed? OVH doesn't provide data recovery services and if it is a VPS, drive failures won't be a problem since everything is in an array.

VPS hosts do fuck up and lose data, arguably more often than the Hitachi HDDs which OVH uses fail :)

    You sir, assume a lot.
Does any VPS provider give data-recovery services? Think again

Given, VPS offer better performance, but, data is users responsibility, no matter what.

VPS provider will not hesitate to tell you, oops, drives failed, your data is gone. Tough luck.

Well yes, much like hosthatch would do  but I mean people like @servarica_hani puts VPSes in an array, which is safer than a single point.
And that's why I would like to choose a reputable provider which would take user's data properly.
As for data... Well this is more like a backup for a backup.
