looking for a DDOS Protected Game Server

Currently i am on OVH dont have any problems except that the game remains offline on tracking sites which does monitoring for it and i need a good anti ddos protection that works similar to OVH but has granular controls to add new filters and update it in customer panel, In OVH you have limitation on network firewall rules and can only add game firewall filter but to set it globally can be done from the network specialist like rate limiting and thresolds.

In OVH you cant set rate limit and thresolds yourself so you need to ask for support to help with it provided you send them tcpdumps capture report on their file share service and send that link and they do.

Now i am looking for another provider that has same like OVH anti ddos protection but allows customers to add / remove filters globally and rate limit including UDP Thresolds.

i am using GoldSrc HL1 games currently only in future i will add more games engine.

VPS Specification i require are:-

1- CPU = Ryzen 7 5800x or above or Intel i7k
2- RAM = 6 GB
3- SSD/NvME = 80 GB
4- Network/Bandwidth = 256mbit or above
5= Anti DDOS = Advanced Anti DDOS pioneered in Game Filterings

Budget = 20-30 EUR

    which one you have ?

  • For 30$ + 3$ (another IP with Path.net AntyDDoS) you have Luxembourg - AMD RYZEN KVM - LU RYZEN KVM 8GB in BuyVM
    https://my.frantech.ca/cart.php?a=confproduct&i=0

Then you can customize filters and you have like 18 tibs DDoS Protection.

What game do you need a filter for?

He runs modified non-steam enabled cs 1.6 zombie mod server with both v47/v48 protocol which makes it annoying to protect. Basically he wants to accept pirate clients and legit clients so the server is modified to run 2 network stacks at once. It's generally fairly common in cs 1.6 but definitely not standard.

I remember he had some users randomly having connection issues with path.net goldsrc profile enabled, and while it works on OVHCloud, his cs 1.6 community competitor ( @Osetec ), has some specific ddos attack which he uses to bypass the ovhcloud anti-ddos to disturb the gameserver service via some kind of A2S attack.

tl:dr its some pakistani drama and @amsaal and @Habeeb always try to find a new provider here while @Osetec seems to have a life mission of attacking their services so he can sell VIPs on his own gameservers.

I tried to help these guys and figured out it would be close to impossible given their unique needs and the time used by the attacker to come up with something new every time.

There was plenty of solutions but nothing that works for their budget perfectly, so that theres no lag, or that everyone of their regular players can connect without issues. If he increases the budget, he could use 10Gbps dedi and loosen the filters and deal with the 5Gbps leaks directly in his server.

i am so amazed by your memory :) appreciate but anyways help me in finding someone that can actually allow my players to enjoy rather then quiting cs and leaving.

Now if we buy a dedicated server just for cs ? it will be expensive whereas my friends they pay for vps and has better protection then mine . paying less but has no issues with mitigation system. i have the IP:Port they are from russian host but is GSP ranked

  • So a competitor is attacking you? Can you figure out where they're hosting their boxes?

cant remember but as of now they no longer in the hosting anymore.

  • Hyperfilter can probably get the job done through their GPM module, but I don't know if they still provide cloud VPS services - they did fit into your budget.

Talk to them, they're hosted in Netherlands.

Every time i see you say he did this he did that . i never complain so why bringing old topics that also not relevant to my current topic. I dont face any problems with OVH at all. including any problems with mitigation everything is A+ .
