    Nokia Lumia 620

I had lumia 920 I think, or some version of 900. It was an interesting phone, but the community was too small, so not enough apps, not enough apps = not interested buyers, cycle continues. But the whole use of phone by swipes was really quick and fun!

You're right, the lack of apps was the main reason why windows phone died as a platform and Nokia as a smartphone brand.

Well, Nokia is still there. I just bought Nokia 230 Dual SIM for my son like 4 months ago :)

I know, but last time I checked they outsourced completely their smartphone business to HMD. They just use the brand.

The same thing they did with microsoft by leasing the brand name and the origin of windows mobile os, nokia technically wasn't the one making those windows phones and so is true for the android ones as well. Long story short, microsoft ruined nokia just like they did with IBM.

They wouldn't have ruined nokia if they used android on their phones instead of windows phone, or at least they should've offered both options. Nokia went downhill after that.

The point is microsoft in the blind greed that everyone will use windows was the wrong concept itself, they had the option to make it opensource and it would have competed with android but i guess nah you need all the money you can rack in and thus lost the market itself.

They should've used a modified version of android instead of a whole new OS. I think they're doing that in one of their products nowadays.

They are just a stupid bunch of peeps, they don't want consumers to have something for free and they will look for anything that can help them squeeze out money, and the fun fact they are only successful because windows for PC is the only OS that supports most not if all AAA rated games and the only reason i am using windows for my pc, for anything else other than games, i prefer linux and i mean it. As for using android modified to be windows subsystem is nothing but a version of windows subsystem for linux, because android itself is a linux, so nothing new here.
