HYPE REMINDER!
I guess they like to "think different" about profiting off of other devs
Order # 5389180. rDNS is not manageable like advertised. Please solve this for me to be as advertised or refund as you cant fulfill your contract.
Thanks.
OH SNAP, 325!!!!
Profiting? where? isn't it called leeching?
Submit a ticket by their client portal and you will get the PTR record updated within an hour!
Another question to make this thread engaging!
What would you do with the giveaway prize if you won?
KEEP THE HYPE UP!
Another question that popped up in my mind!
What are you doing with your Servers apart from self hosting bunch of stuff(like i do)?
I want double bandwith:
Order Number: 7140209857
Invoice: 5389180
I just need some account credit so number 3 or 4 works for me. I don't think that Dustin wants to try and ship a beanbag chair to Mexico.
Ahh so account credit matters! good to know that and thanks for sharing that!
I use my RackNerd 4GB flash special from a couple of years ago in LAX DC2 to host one of my inbound only email servers and a gDNSd DNS server.
Yes, due to the way my PayPal account is set up the service "FastPay" I think it is rejects my payment all the time so the only other ways I can pay is via credit card, where the fees and exchange rate just add like 20% to my bill or try and get account credit in these give a ways. I have a couple of more services with RackNerd and would like to get a few more, but the payment thing works against me. So I do this.
That kinda sound amazing given the fact you are running more than one service there, is the latency good enough for your DNS needs?
I have also been using RackNerd shared cPanel hosting for the wife's color site. She likes cPanel and does not want to change and there are not that many good cPanel providers out there at reasonable prices anymore. Her site uses quite a bit of disk space
Ohh interesting i always try paying with specific cards that doesn't have any foreign exchange fees with the transactions, As per paypal fastpay i never heard of it, is it new? or like is it country specific?
Let me guess is it sqlite db based? or just have too many files to process? kinda hard to guess!
Yes it works great. I use gDNSd servers in 10 locations around the world and than geocast the DNS servers as well as the web servers. So after the first lookup the user goes to the closest DNS server and closest web server. The first dns lookup is random, then the 15 sec ttl on the DNS record kicks in to give them the closest DNS on next lookup.
I have been doing this for years and run a comparison of my DNS network to BunnyDNS anycast.geocast network and they are comparable. Obviously with only 10 locations I am a bit slower from most places, but it works pretty darn well and does auto failover as well.
Fascinating it kinda makes me want read your blog if you keep posting all these things there as well, these kinda things are truly intriguing to read!
Both, big data base and a whole lot of little files for color swatches. She is a color expert. Everything from makeup to car paint and color pencils for artist. The manufacturing process differs from company to company and year to year. She organizes all of them and relates colors to each other is a way that few others are capable of. Really is amazing.
Hmm sqlite dbs are quite the wholesome but then again i can't say anything as i find which ever works works wonders. And man i can only imagine the work with colors, it should be more fun than sitting idle with a terminal open trying to figure out why the update failed
Chrome: chuckles, I’m in danger
I have always been a bit different in these sort of things. I always thought that if you did it the way everyone else did how were you going to be innovative ? I built fit for purpose software that was designed to last for 30 years. Folks used to say that was impossible. Most of those systems are still running or were only recently changed after 20,30 years or more. Business liked the idea of stable systems, who would have thought that adding in new modules would have been a better idea than getting a whole new system every five years.
Does it have IPv6?
I am still waiting for my new pair of RAM to be delivered.
I doubt that!
So no location has IPv6 ?
I completely agree on this one, if we have a way to solve the problem we should go ahead and just do it, i am more into reading, i love each and everything that can be used to power my imagination and creative mind.
