    I keep asking myself the same question, because I know how to use qbittorrent and have used it for years. In theory, the answer is because when I get up to 2k+ torrents, everything starts to get laggy, and rtorrent is supposed to be better about that. But given the literal hours I've spent trying to research and test obscure, poorly-documented config file info for rtorrent, I'm not sure it's worth it...
