You are the one with the highest probability, I am sure you will get plenty of gifts.
While JS/TS can be slow at times, unless you're handling a few hundred thousand requests per second or running something intensive like AI/ML inferencing, there won't really be any noticeable difference. With how fast servers have gotten these days, you're more likely to be throttled by bandwidth/connectivity than how fast your backend can process requests. And it's just nice to use the same language for frontend and backend
Of course, take this with a grain of salt - I'm no expert in web development, just a student who's trying to learn more. Everyone has their own preferences, so it's ultimately up to you

The job market as it is right now does seem to favor strong frontend developers more than backend developers, maybe because the frontend is what the end user sees and is what the user experiences? Probably a lot of other reasons too haha
