Huge thread: https://www.namepros.com/threads/the-fund-cant-be-withdrawal-from-epik-com-via-masterbucks-wallet.1284050/page-127
Epik owns the legendary domain forum Namepros. dnforum
hope it also stays afloat for domainers and domain-investors!
Holy shit, according to the topic there, Epik.com is taking money for registrations, yet fails to actually register the domains
I wonder if ICANN will get involved. At first it seemed like a couple of isolated incidents but the more you look and see that it's widespread makes you wonder if the recent reports of paid-for domains not being registered is a result of some sort of ICANN action?
yeah seems so! after epik domain registrar got hacked last year making all of its customers' information public, I had transferred all but kept only one domain parked at Epik. At that time the domain registrar stats showed only 4 to 5 new registrations per day at Epik which was earlier like 100-150 per day. For a week or two the new registrations were lower, but it seems Epik customers did not learn any lesson from that tragedy and went ahead registering or transferring new domains to Epik as after about a month I saw the graph of new registrations, it was back where it was earlier.
As far as I know they acquired DNForum (with paid membership, so who cares...) not NamePros.
yeah! sorry. yes. I got confused. Yes, even DNforum is one of the reputed ones.
Holy shit everyone wants to have their own scam-coin these days.
While you must be dumb to believe this shit and buy into "6% yearly return", nobody deserves to be scammed.
So hopefully these shitters pay for it and have to sell everything they own, including Terrahost to pay these people back.
What a dildo!
This sounds like FTX all over again.
I wouldn’t doubt that is part of it. Luna and all of those stablecoins were offering 9% returns and such.
Francisco
Honestly, the customer is at fault for leaving $1.5M in something that is not FDIC-insured.
indeed. customers rely of brand reputation rather than checking whether it (service) is legal or illegally offered.
Look at this

Rob Monster is a fraudster. Holy crap he stole MILLIONS
hahahahaha if thats the case, he is utter moron as well, alongside a fraudster.
Surname checks out.
The domains are safe anyway.
Already transferred.
Thank you. I was trying so hard to not post that myself 😅
Update
Epik (might be) selling its assets (dnforum) according to this blog post
In our interview about the sale of the domain Candida.com, Ms. Kalaf let us know that Epik has referenced “assets” that are on the verge of being sold, in order to produce the necessary liquidity for Epik’s operations. We were told that Epik has “just turned the corner on the asset sale they have been working on” in order to pay her $91,000 dollars.and might be they'll sell terrahost? or any other hosting company that they've acquired?
Some good discussion over here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/the-fund-cant-be-withdrawal-from-epik-com-via-masterbucks-wallet.1284050
To me, this entire debacle is more relevant and interesting than the whole Purple Daddy court stuff going on. I know Epik isn't as involved in LET as RN is, but they're a much larger company and their wrongdoings appear to be recent/current as opposoed to some shit that one guy did some years back when employed by someone else. (RN)
Kind of surprised that based on that, that this isn't a more popular topic on LET or a LEB blog post yet.
I have some $xxx in masterbucks which can be added to epik.com balance. What do you guys suggest? Should I add in epik and register or renew some domains or keep them in masterbucks with hope of getting them paid out sometime in future?
Based.
Get anything "liquid" for them, or ask them to move credits to Terrahost - maybe its possible, they've done that previously with sibyl.li.
Terrahost is amazing and I cant recommend them enough, true internet warriors.
