    That's odd, I never had to verify my identity. Did you buy the VPS while using a VPN? That might trigger their anti-fraud system.

    Same, never had to go through this. VPN, signup info etc could trigger the anti fraud system’s usually.

    I bought my first VPS from greencloud, last month during their 9th bday sale.
    I was also required to provide ID, but sent an energy bill and they approved it.
    No VPN as well.
    You can request them to delete it immediately after verification

    had to do the same for ovh. no vpn, signed up with genuine info and they still asked for it even before I could buy a server. LET or no, it's not very unusual.

    not included ? anything you order from that page is in the promo I think. Except that AMS ones have an additional setup fee
