FYI:
Network Solutions will bribe you with a 50% off your next year's renewal if you try to transfer your domain to another vendor.
You just unlock your domain and then click on the button to "REQUEST AUTH CODE". Instead of the code, they will ask if you are interested in renewing right now with a discount.
It only works for a single year's renewal so you will have to select the 1-year renewal option. I don't know if this happens all the time or only during BF/CM.
