How can you get Amazon Prime for free for a long time?

We don’t have it for free, what I mean is we don’t have to pay extra for the wifi on the plane (but we do get a discount for prime because student discount)

im a student too bro. haven't seen any promotion like that with amazon

At least you have 6 month's prime membership for free.

Don't you know that internet on air is very expensive?

They’re sponsored by Amazon, and I’m pretty sure they have some hardware made by Amazon.

haven't heard that. I only know every airlines charge passenger for wifi on air.

Starlink also provides airplane wifi. Or at least has plans to

as of right now, wifi on air is costly. I used to pay $35 to have all days use with limit of 200MB. just not long ago. Now he said it's free and unlimited. :) just want to ask

nah, the price is international. There are several companies managed it.

We’re not traveling over any ocean, the plane is always above land so it’s much cheaper for them to set up towers on ground and have the plane connect to the towers.

    Makes sense

  • @MooCowGalaxy said:

    @jmaxwell said:

    That’s why lol

Yeah, hey it’s free wifi, can’t complain :)

    Fair point

It’s different for intercontinental and domestic flights, domestic flights is much much cheaper, and the airline can absorb the cost.

  • What can you do with 200MB these days? Text only chat in instant messaging apps ?

  • @phucvandinh said:

I guess it varies from airline to airline, but this specific one gives it for free.

are you serious bro? the data on air is not cheap. And they give it free to you? I have flight with multiple airlines from us to Vietnam, and haven't seen anything like that.

US to Vietnam is very, very different - this flight is between two states in the US, not traveling intercontinentally.

No bro. I flight in US too. i don't talk about from us to vietnam. it's completely different.

If you had to pay $35 for 200MB data, you’re probably getting ripped off or the flight cost itself is cheap :)
