Oh yeah. How about opacity 0 😂

:( We are getting slow down. I will try to go to sleep now. Lay down for 12hours and couldn't sleep. Everytime I fall into sleep, the coughing wake me up.

  • opacity: 0 and user-select: none should do the trick (although visibility: hidden does both of that at the same time)

we gonna implement this for extension, i'll work a bit on it on weekend...

  • How are you guys today?

I think we should be able to just use window.localStorage for storing which users are hidden, and then display: none because we don’t want it to take up space

  • I’ll see if I can work on it tonight

yeah but the storage must be rubust and easy to use... i have more features in mind like "favourites" so you can add color (like i have for myself and dustin)

localStorage is just like a key value dictionary, so it should be simple to use - we can add multiple keys for different settings like favorites, colors, stuff like that

  • Also, has Mozilla accepted your extension yet?

Not bad, not bad! I have 1Gbps up/down at home (fiber), at the office we have 500Mbps (highest they offer for the area).

Last year, when we were looking to expand/re-locate our office space from our previous location in Upland, we considered plenty of office space options in the surrounding cities, and believe it or not - a lot of office complexes here were still relying on DSL and fixed wireless solutions for Internet, which was a deal breaker for us. That would of meant speeds of under < 3Mbps, and probably a lot less reliable. We're fortunate to have found our current office complex, which supports 500Mbps up/down.

I have 512 kb/s DSL on copper lines and believe me you don't want that. I seldomly ever reach 512 kb/s up speeds more like 300kb/s.

I've got synchronous gigabit fiber at home, like Dustin:

Nice one! Never know when you might need that upload speed :)

    People are still using dial-up.

As of 2017, 2.1 million people still use AOL’s dial-up service.

Mainly, these customers live in rural America where it can be expensive and unreliable to get high-speed internet.

Meanwhile, dial-up is only $20 per month.

Meanwhile, we can already have 2Gbps fiber at home :) And the SLOWEST speed my provider gives is 250Mbps :D

WOW!, can you share a speed test?

It was a quick run on my home server. In general I have UP TO 1Gbps. I had +-600Mbps on WiFi with my phone.

I just ran a speedtest on my phone on wifi. :)

Amazing! What sort of speeds do you see on 5G?

    Galaxy S10, so only 4G

    https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/8852007336

Still pretty decent for 4G :)

@FrankZ -- Sheesh! I remember the days of DSL still. Are there any plans for faster solutions out there?

Only unreliable shared coaxial cable lines are rated faster where I am at, but they are all over the place as far as speed goes. There is a faster service available if I pay to run fiber a little over a km to my house.

@FrankZ -- Interesting. I'd also sacrifice a bit of speed for reliability in that situation. Reliability is important for sure.

Without reliability, how will one ever be able to participate in RackNerd GAs?
